Family searching for stolen motorcycle that belonged to son who passed away

A family grieving the loss of their son is hoping the public can help locate his motorcycle that was stolen from their Victoria home shortly after he died.

The bike, which belonged to Brendan Sloan, was stolen on Saturday, July 14.

“It’s not in good working order and likely doesn’t hold much monetary value,” Sloan said in a Facebook post that day. “However, it is extremely sentimentally valuable to our family and friends having just lost Brendan on Sunday.”

The bike is a blue and white Suzuki GSXR 1000. It has two stickers on the right side of the tank: one of the Dempster Highway, and one of Panama. The bike also has a cracked visor stitched together with metal wire, and does not have any side mirrors.

The family has reported the bike as stolen with VicPD.
