Sunglasses, ice cream, sunscreen, flip flops – now is the time to assemble all your summer necessities!
Environment Canada has just issued a special heat wave advisory for this weekend that is in effect for Greater Victoria, east/west/inland Vancouver Island, and the Southern Gulf Islands.
Starting Saturday, June 16th, a strong and persistent ridge of high pressure will bring rising temperatures to the island.
And by Sunday, areas that are away from the immediate coast are expected to experience temperatures into the mid-thirties.
As reported earlier, this hot weather is expected to persist late into next week, if not longer.
So plan your trips to the waters accordingly, and don’t forget to check out this list of what time the lowest tides of the year are happening this weekend.
