Southbound traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway was delayed Thursday morning after a two-vehicle accident occurred near the Tillicum Road intersection.
Unconfirmed reports say a vehicle collided with a construction sign truck.
Saanich police were on scene at around 8:30 a.m., and advised drivers to avoid the area if possible.
Several drivers reported delays in the surrounding area. Buses were also rerouted along Burnside and Harriet to reach Uptown Shopping Centre.
Saanich police reported the scene was cleared about 40 minutes later.

UPDATE: We've cleared up the earlier crash at Hwy1/Tillicum in #saanich #yyjtraffic. Traffic should be back to "normal".
