Victoria police asked to be on the lookout for Toronto shooting suspects

Two suspects wanted in connection to a playground shooting in Toronto may have connections in B.C., according to Toronto police.

Tarrick Rhoden and T’Quan Robertson are both wanted for attempted murder of two girls, aged five and nine, after firing on a Scarborough playground on June 14, 2018.

CTV reports that Toronto police have asked police in Victoria and Vancouver to be extra vigilant, as either Rhoden or Robertson were recently in B.C.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Rhoden and Robertson, though police believe they are still in the Toronto area.

A third suspect, Sheldon Eriya, was arrested on June 15 in connection with the shooting.

Both girls were taken to hospital and are recovering.

If you have any information about Rhoden or Robertson being in the area, call VicPD’s non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
