If you spot rainbows sprouting up everywhere, this is why!

Victoria Pride Week is almost upon us, which means Victoria City Hall is about to raise its Pride, Transgender, Non-Binary, Genderqueer, and 2-Spirit flags in support of the LGBTQ2+ community.

The ceremony will begin with a speech from Mayor Lisa Helps on Monday, June 25th at 11:30 a.m., after which Council members will raise the five flags together.

These flags will be on display until July 6th, after which they will be flown at the 25th Annual Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday, July 8th.

“The City of Victoria is proud to be a welcoming and inclusive community for all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression,” states the city’s release.
