Bloomin’ Beautiful Vertical Growing Workshop

What: This interactive workshop is presented by Dave Friend of Friendly Organics.
Dave (aka Mr. Organic) will introduce you to various methods and techniques of vertical growing.  The workshop will have hands-on examples, interactive instruction, and a Q & A session.This workshop is best suited for adults. Join us for a fun and educational workshop!

Alsarah & The Nubatones

What: Alsarah & The Nubatones play an eclectic and highly danceable mix of Arabic-inflected East African music. After fleeing her hometown of Khartoum, Sudan with her activist parents, Alsarah relocated to the United States where she was immediately attracted to music, becoming both a performer and, later, a musicologist. A powerful and mesmerizing singer, Alsarah founded The Nubatones in 2010 and has since released two great CDs and toured all over North America and Europe. The band’s so-called “Nubian pop” is a unique fusion representing a bold and beautiful form of contemporary African music.

Wall Pocket Clay Class

What: Their instructors will walk you through the process of designing and making your own clay wall pocket and painting it. Be as creative as you would like with our clay tools and glazing techniques.

Vancouver Island Dodgeball: Women’s Drop-In

What: They seek to encourage more women into the sport of dodgeball, and we welcome first-timers, recreational players, and competitive players alike with the goal of creating a fun atmosphere for the women’s game to develop.
