Share

On Wednesday, May 9th, around 5 PM, paramedics and police responded to a call at Port Sidney Marina to assist a man in his 70s who was thought to have been drowning.

After further investigation, Sidney RCMP confirmed that he has died, but drowning was not the cause of death.

Officers and the BC Coroner’s Service is now in the early stages of investigating the incident, but they were able to confirm that it is not suspicious.

Authorities say that no one else was harmed or involved.

More to come.
