One man is dead after a single-vehicle crash occurred in Chemainus on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7 p.m., North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP responded to reports of a rollover on the MacMillan Bloedel Forestry Road.
According to police, one passenger, a 24-year old Duncan man, was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
A second passenger was transported by BC Ambulance to a local hospital and a third was air-lifted to a larger area hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a contributing factor in the collision. However, the investigation is currently ongoing.
