Pint of Science Victoria

What: This year Victoria will host its first ever Pint of Science Festival! It will happen simultaneously in three venues. Come learn about the Big Bang, atoms, planets and black holes at the The Moon Under Water Brewery, Pub, Distillery & Tasting Room, about autism, human potential, and healthy aging at the Gorge Pointe Pub, and about BC’s whales, bees and seismic hazards at the Six Mile Pub.
You don’t need any prior knowledge, and this is your chance to meet the people responsible for the future of science (and have a pint with them).

Monday Open Mic

What: Come out to see some of the best professional and amateur comedians on the Island! Whether you want to try your hand at making people laugh or laugh until your stomach hurts, Hecklers Open Mic is the place to be!

Friday Fibre Friends Group Show

What: Get ready to see some fantastic art! The Friday Fibre Friends, a group of local artists, get together again this year for another wonderful show of their latest works with fibre.

Petography: a pop-up event | Pets & Portraits

What: Come along to Dallas Road for a mini-portrait session to capture your pet’s cutest and most special quirks. If you have a pet, know someone with a pet, or are simply a pet enthusiast, this event is for you!
Petography will have an on-location, pop-up studio equipped with a professional photographer, lighting assistant and a team of dedicated pet assistants to help treat you and your furry friend to a fun and pet-friendly portrait experience!
Fully-edited and unique portraits will be available to purchase for you to keep forever and share with friends and family.

Celtic Music Night

What: Live Celtic Music all night long with Victoria’s Knacker’s Yard!
Following in the tradition of The Dubliners, The Pogues & Planxty, Knacker’s Yard are a seven-piece Celtic band with Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, Bodhran, Uilleann Pipes, Fiddles, Accordion & Tin Whistles. For fans of Irish, Scottish & English Folksong and Trad.
