It looks like Wharf Street is about to get a delicious new tenant!
Self-proclaimed nouveau Canadian bistro, ‘The Flying Pig’, is taking a cue from their success in Vancouver and opening up a new location in downtown Victoria.
The restaurant currently has three venues in Vancouver – Yaletown, Gastown, and Olympic Village – and serves up seasonal delicacies made with fresh, local ingredients.
Despite its quirky name, The Flying Pig doesn’t actually focus on pork as a main dish. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious food, from short ribs to veal and lobster. But of course, they’ve also got a classic pork rack that few have the power to resist.
According to a Craigslist advertisement, their downtown Victoria location on Wharf Street will be opening up “in the very near future”, and are currently looking to hire sous chefs.
Any takers?
