These are the brands Canadians admire most

Share

Google, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Canadian Tire occupy the podium for Canada’s most admired companies.

Which means Hillside Mall has everything Canadians could ever dream of.

The 2018 Corporate Reputation Study, conducted by Leger, assessed the reputation of over 251 companies in an online questionnaire format.

Tim Hortons and Sears Canada take big hits

A few Canadian companies took turns for the worse in 2018 – at least as popularity goes.

After Tim Hortons’ minimum wage battle took a messy turn in Ontario, they plummeted from 4th to 50th in 2018, after years of consecutive top 5 appearances.

Sears, meanwhile, dropped 61 points and did not crack the top 100, after prioritizing bonuses for upper management over wages for their average employee… Closing all of its stores couldn’t have helped much either.

It turns out that consumers highly value fair pay and treatment of employees. Who would’ve thought?
