Barb’s Fish and Chips has a new home, and it’s bigger and better than ever before.
In a live video posted to Facebook, Barb’s showed its brand new building being brought into Fisherman’s Wharf, where it’ll doubtless serve plenty of Victorians and tourists alike with fresh and tasty fish and chips!
An earlier Facebook post this week garnered over 200 reactions and numerous supportive comments.
Though the photos of the wrapped-up building aren’t exactly the most flattering, the prospect of a new and improved Barb’s Fish and Chips shop appears to be generating lots of excitement.
The new building “had been designed and planned over two years” and is expected to “improve customer experience by reducing wait times and relieving congestion on the Wharf,” Nath from Barb’s Fish and Chips told Victoria Buzz.
We are also learning the Fish Store, once located next to Barb’s, has moved westward and rumours suggests a liquor patio will be opening between the two businesses.
According to Barb’s, the business will open for the season in early-April. However, if the moving process pushes that date back a bit, we’ll forgive them. A great bite to eat is worth the wait.
