Be prepared if you’re travelling over the Malahat today.
According to Drive BC, heavy snowfall has caused major delays on Highway 1 this morning. Highway 4 has also been affected with compact snow and slushy and slippery sections.
Mainroad advised motorist on Twitter of delays of up to 30 minutes.
At one point, traffic was at a complete standstill at the Malahat Summit, but conditions have been improving at around 10 am.
