Several power outages across Saanich, Oak Bay, and even as far as Sidney and North Cowichan have just been reported.
According to the BC Hydro website, 6,582 customers are in the dark as a result of the interruption in service.
The outages in Victoria have been caused by a substation fault, and BC Hydro crews are en route to solve the problem. Their estimated arrival time is 1:30 PM.
These are the areas affected
- Oak Bay/Saanich: North of Avondale Rd, South of Francisco Tce, East of Quadra St
- Saanich: South of Woodhall Dr, East of Raymond St, North of Saanich Rd, West of Quadra St
- Saanich: West of New Rd, East of Caselton Pl, South of Franck Rd, North of Quadra St
- Saanich: North of Cedar Hill X Rd, East of Crownwood Ln, South of D’Arcy Ln, West of Cedar Hill Rd
- Saanich: West of Ridgewood Crs, North of Parkridge St, East of Ridgegrove Ave, South of Mann Ave
