On Wednesday morning, at approximately 9:20 AM, Central Saanich Police arrested two individuals in the 6400-block of Bella Vista Drive.
A man a woman were arrested after a search warrant had been issued. They were taken into custody with help from the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team.
Central Saanich Deputy Chief Derren Lench told Victoria Buzz that the arrests were made in connection with reports of an illegal, unlicensed grow-op in a property on Bella Vista.
But until Thursday morning, the extent of that grow-up was unknown. According to police, nearly 500 marijuana plants were seized.
Turns out, it was of Pineapple Express proportions.
In a release, Central Saanich Police said that several drug-related charges will be recommended and that their investigation continues.
The grow-op took up most of the house.
