“Tampon Tuesday” is coming to Hillside Mall next Saturday

Monthly menstruation products are a necessity. Yet many living in poverty or experiencing homelessness simply can’t afford the very items they need to maintain their personal hygiene and dignity.

Aside from financial barriers, menstruation and menstrual products are topics that aren’t often discussed. For some, the topic can be just plain embarrassing.

Ensuring that all people can meet their needs

United Way Greater Victoria is joining the Tampon Tuesday movement and collecting menstrual products to help people in need.

The product drive is being conducted in partnership with the Victoria Labour Council and United Way Greater Victoria’s Labour Committee. Like United Way, the Labour movement is committed to ensuring that all people can meet their basic needs and live with dignity.

So drop by with your donations of tampons, pads and other menstrual products and help fill a city bus:
