Victoria Royals vs. Everett Silvertips

  • What: Take in Victoria’s top live sports entertainment as the Royals host the Everett Silvertips! Captain Matthew Phillips will chase his 30th goal of the season while the Royals fend off the U.S. Division’s top team.
  • Where: Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre
  • When: Friday, January 5th. Puck drop is 77:05 pm

Community Days at the Royal BC Museum

  • What: Enjoy everything the museum has to offer for the great price of Admission by Donation! From the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, to Letter Writing week, to the great assortment of regular displays, it’s a day at the museum that shouldn’t be missed.
  • Where: Royal BC Museum, 675 Belleville St.
  • When: All weekend
  • Cost: By donation!

Meet the artists of the OneTree exhibit

  • What: Meet the visionaries behind the oneTree exhibit. All day long admission will be 50% off* and various oneTree artists will be on site to answer your questions, inquiries, and “how on earth did you make that”.
  • Where: Robert Bateman Centre, 470 Belleville St.
  • When: Saturday, January 6th. Open all day!
  • Cost: Admission is 50% off.

No Filter Reading and Journals

  • What: Start your new year with an introduction to Bullet Journaling – a great way to keep on top of your life, ambitions, goals, and commitments. Have no idea where to start? Chapters’ expert Kasey will be on hand to offer tips and inspiration.
  • Where: Chapters Victoria, 1212 Douglas St.
  • When: Saturday, January 6th. 2pm – 5pm.
  • Cost: Free

The Underpainting – a subconscious process

  • What: Using acrylic paint and diverse set of tools including scrapers, brushes, markers, cloth, water, and even hands, Virginia will share ways to become aware of one’s mindset. She will teach you to get out of your own way, to get unstuck literally or metaphorically, to find more inner freedom, to be fully present, and at the same time enhance painterly depth in preparation for your painting. Registration is required! Modern Wedding show

Get your tree clipped!

  • What: The holiday has passed, and Christmas trees are becoming distinctly out of style with every passing day. We’ve compiled a list of places to get your tree chipped. Don’t forget to remove all screws, nails, lights and ornaments from the tree before recycling!

  • When: All weekend.
