Police suspect foul play after 2 bodies discovered in Oak Bay home

The Oak Bay Police Department says the discovery of two bodies is being investigated as a possible homicide.

According to a statement from police, the bodies were discovered at about 5  pm on Christmas Day. Police were called to an address located near the corner of Beach Drive and Goodwin Street. Upon entering the house, officers found two people who were pronounced dead at the scene and one injured person.

The condition of the injured person was not released.

The scene is currently contained, and area residents can expect this to continue throughout the night, “and/or as long as is required by investigators”.

At this time, investigators are not able to share any additional information though further details will be provided when appropriate.

Police said they do not believe that the public is at risk.

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) has been called in to take
over the investigation.
