Have a friend or family member that appreciates unique local arts and crafts? You’ve got to tell them about the Oaklands West Coast Winter Market!
This prime opportunity for Christmas shopping will make its return on Saturday, December 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is a minimum $3 donation.
Should you find something perfect for that friend or special someone, it would mean you can cross a name off of your shopping list twenty-three whole days before Christmas. Give yourself a pat on the back!
With over 50 vendors, delicious food trucks, and the sweet serenade of local live music, you won’t want to miss this. Centrally located at the Oakland Community Centre and Oaklands Elementary Gym, it’s easy to support the quality products our local artisans have to offer.
Folks looking for a seriously stupendous Saturday can capitalize on the winter beer garden featuring Hoyne Brewing, with the International Women’s Catering Co-op and local favourite Dead Beetz food truck providing mouth-watering culinary options.
Local, local, local!
The Market has a focus on local and sustainable products following the BC Association of Farmer’s Markets guidelines of “make, bake, or grow”. Local farmers, artisans, gourmet food producers, pottery, knitters, crafters, handmade body products, and jewellery will all get an affordable space to showcase their talents and skills.
You can also support family programs at the Oaklands Community Centre with local coffee and hot apple cider available by donation.
