Langford is about to get a whole new shopping centre!

In January, 2016, plans to transform the area formerly occupied by Belmont Secondary School into a 200,000 sq. ft. shopping centre were announced.

This week, the city of Langford released some more detailed plans, including the names of some of the retail stores that will make up Belmont Market.

Take a look!

1. Thrifty Foods

This grocery store chain will form the main anchor of the market. It will span a whopping 52,000 sq. ft. and is sure to become a staple for residents in Langford before long.

2. Great Clips

Great Clips is an all-inclusive hair salon servicing men, women, and children alike. So far, this affordable one-stop hair shop only has one location in the Greater Victoria region – at Eagle Creek Village.

3. Eye Etiquette

Eye Etiquette is set to open their second store in Langford, following their success at the current Millstream Rd location.

4. Paw Street Market

Can’t forget the fur babies! Paw Street Market will be opening its first location on Vancouver Island, after their success in Langley and Vernon, B.C.

5. Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)

It’s okay to treat yourself once in a while! KFC is one of the several food outlets that is set to open at Belmont Market.

6. Fatburger

Speaking of indulging, this L.A. based burger joint is another restaurant that has been announced so far. This will be the chain’s second location in Victoria.

7. Westland Insurance

This insurance company currently has three locations, but none in Langford…yet!

8. Scotiabank

There is currently only one Scotiabank branch in Langford, and just two ATMs. So the inauguration of the Belmont Market will be bringing a new, much more conveniently located branch to the city of Langford.

Belmont Market is set to open as early as Summer 2018.

At the moment, the city of Langford is still searching for tenants to fill vacant spaces between 1,000 to 10,000 square feet.
