Children’s International Summer Villages announces summer program applications

Looking for some fun, informative activities to keep your kids busy this summer?

The Victoria branch of CISV – an international not-for profit charity, offering international camps based on diversity, human rights, and sustainability – has just announced its summer program list.

These programs are extremely popular, so make sure you send in your application form by the December 8th, 2017 deadline!

The highlight of Summer 2018

This year, CISV is offering a unique international exchange program for 13-14 year olds (you have to be 13-14 years old for at least one day of the program) to spend two weeks in Hamburg, Germany!

The experience is fully immersive for the entire family, as the hosts learn quite a bit about the other culture, alongside their own children.

CISV is planning this interchange program for the first time in five years, so don’t miss out!

The full-fledged information session will be held this Thursday, but you can get a head-start by becoming a member of the organization.

“It’s incredible to seen the change in a child who comes to camp with maybe a little knowledge of another culture and leave the programme knowing the capital and some cultural traditions,” says Jessica Noble, Fund Development Chair at CISV Victoria.

“After a programme these youth leave with a network of friends and a better understanding of what culture and diversity really mean. This experience opens their eyes and hearts to what’s in the world and who lives there.”
