Suspect arrested in series of break and enters linked to Victoria Fire Dept key vaults

Share

Last month, several local businesses suffered a series of break-ins, and Victoria PD determined that the link between them was the method of entry: defeated fire key vaults.

As of Friday, the Victoria Police Department released a statement confirming that they believe the person responsible is now in custody.

After determining the link between the break-ins, Victoria PD and the Victoria Fire Department worked together to secure over 1100 key vaults, thereby restoring building access security.

These measures, along with the arrest, have put a stop to further reports of breaking and entering.

The Victoria Police Department cannot release any further information about the suspect or the incidents as the investigations are ongoing, but did want to reassure the community that the break-ins have come to a stop as a result of their actions.

If you have any information about the investigation, you are encouraged to call Victoria PD’s non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654, or call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to report anonymously.
