A 65-year-old North Saanich man has died after a two-vehicle collision on Mills Road in North Saanich.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday near the entrance to the Fickle Fig Farm Market between Littlewood Road and McDonald Park Road.
The man was riding a motorcycle and the collision involved an SUV. The driver of that vehicle – a 66-year-old North Saanich woman – is cooperating with police. She and the other person in the car – a 3-year-old girl – were unharmed.
Traffic was redirected for several hours as collision analysts and forensic investigators examined the scene of the wreck.
The vehicles have been seized and the investigation is ongoing.
A witness on scene provided some information to the officers, but left before providing contact information. The RCMP would like to get in touch with them, as they might be able to provide more details about the incident.
