Today’s the eve of Hallow’s eve! Plenty of pumpkin fun, and western murder mystery await.

Downtown Trick or Treating and Pumpkin Pursuit

  • What: Bring your kids to trick or treat at participating businesses, and vote for you favourite pumpkin! Voters can win an awesome downtown Victoria prize pack.
  • When: Monday, October 30th
  • Time: 3:30pm – 6:00pm.

Monster’s Haunted House

  • What: Embark on a battle of composure as the Monster’s Haunted House throws everything it can to test your wits! Bring your buddies (or worst enemy) and see who screams first.
  • When: Monday, October 30th
  • Time: 6:30 – 11:00pm.
  • Where: 203 Dallas Road
  • Cost: $15 for single attraction, $20 for both.

Murder at the Granby Claim

  • What: Come and discover who killed the Sheriff at the Granby Claim. You will need to use all your investigative skills and ask questions throughout the the evening to uncover the details of the murder. Actors will be playing the role of the key townsfolk, as you mingle with them and other guests throughout the evening. Follow your Sherlock Holmes instincts, and once the you’ve eliminated the impossible, the improbable must be the truth. Come enjoy a fun, unique evening at a venue that is perfectly suited to carry the theme of this old west murder mystery! Dress-up highly encouraged.

Drop in Table Tennis

  • What: Sharpen your hand-eye coordination with some table tennis! Up to 12 tables are available, and a surprising sweat awaits if you can get some practice in.
  • When: Monday, October 30th
  • Time: 7:30 – 9:30pm.
  • Where: Cedar Hill Recreation Centre
  • Cost: $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for students

Pumpkin Art on Oak Bay Ave

  • What: Check out over 500 pumpkins covering a variety of themes on Oak Bay Avenue! Everything from local personalities, cartoon characters, the Royal Family, the Beatles, and more! Merchants will carve their own pumpkins and have them on display throughout the weekend. On Halloween, from 2 to 5pm a giant trick-or-treat will be available all along Oak Bay Ave, from Monterey Ave to Foul Bay Road. Hula hoopers, stilt walkers, jugglers, and a magician will all be around to morph Oak Bay Village into a carnival-like atmosphere.
