Share

On Sunday, September 3rd, Oak Bay Police responded to report from a resident complaining of a suspicious vehicle following them to their residence.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Later that evening, however, that same vehicle was involved in a small accident at a different location.

After locating the driver, police determined the man was severely confused and suffering from Alzheimer’s.

It turned out, he had been reported missing in Nanaimo.

Sgt. Klein-Beekman said the man was reunited with his family and no charges are being considered.
