Keep your motorcycles rollin’, the Capital City Toy Run is September 24th

Share

Don’t put away your bike for the winter yet; you still have some good work to do!

Everyone talks about getting their Christmas shopping done early, but no one actually does it. That is, everyone except for the fine folks organizing the 2017 Capital City Toy Run.

Motorcycles, Scooters, and Toys

On September 24th, you, your shiny motorcycle, or stupendous scooter are invited to join roughly 400 riders for a short drive up the peninsula.

Everyone is welcome, and in support of CFAX Santa’s Anonymous, the “entry fee” is a minimum $10 cash donation or an unwrapped toy. Cash donations and toys will benefit the CFAX Christmas charity – a long time staple in the community. Over $2000 cash was raised in 2015, with over $5000 in toys donated as well.

The ride’s starting point is Save-On Foods near Uptown (3510 Blanshard St.), where participants can meet at 9 am for coffee and snacks. The group will depart at 10 am, and arrive at Victoria’s Flying Club around 11:30 am.

So get a start on your Christmas shopping early; it’s for a great cause.
