West Shore Police investigating a “suspicious death” after man’s body found in Metchosin

A suspicious death investigation is underway following the discovery of a man’s body today in Metchosin, BC.

On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at approximately 12:00 pm, the West Shore RCMP were “led to a scene” where they discovered a deceased adult male in the area of Malloch Rd in Metchosin. Police did not state who led them to the body.

Foul Play Suspected

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of the West Shore RCMP’s General Investigation Section and General Duty members, are now investigating this death where foul play is suspected.

“This investigation is in its early stages. No further information can be shared at this time,” said West Shore RCMP spokesman Const. Alex Bérubé.

Investigators would like to hear from anyone who may have information regarding this suspicious death.
