Together, the various departments will track a known fentanyl dealer through the Quadra Village neighbourhood.

The series takes viewers along on surveillance, though GVERT operations, into drug-processing areas, and intelligence briefings.

“We’re focused on getting these deadly drugs off our streets”

“There were over 900 overdose deaths in BC in 2016, and fentanyl was part of many of these,” S/Sgt. Conor King said. “This series shows you how we’re focused on fentanyl; how we’re focused on getting these deadly drugs off our streets.”

VicPd will post every video on their YouTube Channel, as well as on the VicPD website, their Twitter account and Facebook pages.

The series runs from August 29th to September 19th.
