Central Saanich Police are seeking assistance in identifying a man who assaulted an employee at the Quality Inn / Waddling Dog located at Mt Newton X Rd and Highway 17.
The incident happened in the early morning hours of August 29, 2017.
The manager of the Waddling Dog told Victoria Buzz an unknown man, who was not a guest or patron, entered the hotel and sat in the lobby.
“Our front desk agent asked if he required assistance. The man got up and walked out. Our staff member went outside to ensure the suspicious male continued to depart the premise and unprovoked, the male assaulted our staff member.”
“We pride ourselves in being a great place for our customers and a comfortable place to work for our staff. So it is a shame this happened and we are doing our best to help police identify the person to avoid anything like this happening again.”
