Looking to dance, party, and take advantage of this long BC Day weekend? No need to leave Victoria. Freq Fest 2017, Victoria’s urban underground electronic music festival, is just around the corner.

Returning for its 2nd year, Freq Fest 2017 will activate four venues in downtown Victoria with local and international electronic acts over the long weekend (August 4th – 6th).

The 3-day event brings in established DJs from around North America and the region as well as local favourites like DJ Murge and Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness.

Three Main Venues

Lucky Bar (Aug 4th) and Copper Owl (Aug 5th), will host two marquis events. As well, the weekend’s main event will transform the parking lot at Paul’s Motor Inn into a licensed event space with headliner sets by Sabota, Koosh, and Wabi on Saturday, Aug 5th.

The Motor Inn Lot will also feature an Aperol Spritz bar, craft beer from Phillips Brewery and Vancouver Island’s largest mirror ball.

To close out the weekend on Sunday, August 6th, Freq Fest 2017 will host a free day party at Splash Pool Bar.

“I think it’s something vital for the scene here,” comments Jimmy Leitch, Manager of Do250. “There’s a huge desire to see and experience more of these electronic artists, and Freq Fest is bringing them right into the heart of the city. It’s an awesome opportunity to get out and realize how strong the EDM community is in Victoria.”
