An early morning call regarding a suspicious person has led to the recovery of a “great deal” of stolen property from a pair of suspected thieves.

At approximately 3:40 am on August 22, Oak Bay Police responded to a report of a suspicious person near Kings Road.

Officers found two suspicious males on bicycles in the area. Police arrested and searched the pair, aged 27 and 29, leading to the discovery.

Along with Heroin drug paraphernalia, police also recovered smaller electronic items such as laptops.

Langford Property Among Stolen Items

The alleged thieves also had property on them which indicates they had also recently broken into vehicles in Langford. The West Shore RCMP are assisting in that aspect of the investigation.

The males have been released from custody. However, charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation are being recommended to the Crown.

Police reminded the public to lock their vehicle doors as most, if not all, of the stolen
property appeared to have been taken from unlocked vehicles.
