  • Fintan O’Brien with Douglas Peerless
    • Who: The Zone’s July “Band of the Month”, Fintan O’Brien is one of Victoria’s most promising young singer-songwriters. The 20-year-old just released his debut EP and won the 2017 Yamaha “Keys to the Junos” songwriting contest.
    • What: Live music! O’Brien will be playing at The Mint every Monday this summer.

    • When: 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

  • Ratfish Monday Mic! Hosted by Chelsea Lou
    • Who: Victoria’s aspiring comedians
    • What: Open mic comedy. Up to 20 comedians doing 3 minutes each.
    • Where: Hecklers Upstairs (in the lobby of the Ramada)
    • When: Sign-up at 7:30 pm, show at 8:00 pm
    • Cost: $5 or free for performers

Tuesday, July 11

  • Downtown Victoria Buskers Festival (WEEK LONG EVENT)
    • Who: World-renowned street performers bring their acts to Victoria
    • What: Live music, circus acts, magic shows, fire-eaters and more.
    • When: Tuesday through Sunday. Full schedule available here.
    • Cost: In classic Busker style, you pay what you think the performers deserve.

Wednesday, July 12

  • Word Feast Summer Slam at the Oaklands Sunset Market
    • Who: Spoken word poets, vendors, and food trucks, hosted by Jeremy Loveday
    • What: A summer evening at the Oaklands Sunset Market. Experience this high energy spoken word showdown while eating farm fresh food.
    • Where: Oaklands Sunset Market
    • When: 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Benji’s Pub Quiz
    • What: A Pub Quiz, the winner gets $100 at Northern Quarter
    • Where: The Northern Quarter, 1724 Douglas St
    • When: 8:30 pm – 11:00 pm
    • Cost: $5
