Royal BC Museum to host “Grown-up Summer Camps”

Victoria’s Royal BC Museum wants local adults to pack a lunch, ditch the kids, and experience a one-of-a-kind summer camps.

Starting in August, Grown-up Day Camp will occur from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and cost $50 per person (with a 10% member discount).

Adults get to sneak behind the scenes, meet knowledgeable staff, connect with exhibitions and experience fun hands-on activities

Grown-ups can choose from several themes. There’s Arts & Crafts on August 11, Campfire (Hi)stories on August 18, and Nature Merit Badge on August 25.

Day Camps & One Overnight

But that’s not all. Night at the Museum – Grown-ups Only offers the first ever 19+ sleepover at the Royal BC Museum.

With a $10 voucher for on-site food trucks included and “grown-up” beverages available for purchase, you can spend the night sharing ghost stories around the campfire, creating nostalgic summer camp crafts and exploring behind the scenes after hours by flashlight.

The sleepover also included live entertainment and a delicious breakfast.

Night at the Museum runs from Saturday, August 26 at 6:30 pm to Sunday, August 27 at 9:00 am. Tickets are $80 per person (with a 10% member discount).

You can also combine one Grown-Up Day Camp with Night at the Museum–Grown-Ups for $115 per person.
