The Great Canadian Beer Festival returns to Victoria September 8 and 9

Share

The 25th annual Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF) returns to Victoria on September 8 & 9, 2017! Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 am.

The longest running, craft-only festival in Canada, GCBF first took place in 1993 at the Victoria Conference Centre with 2000 attendees.

The event, now two days long, takes place outdoors at Royal Athletic Park and hosts up to 9000 thirsty, craft beer fans.

A not-for-profit society, the GCBF was created to introduce consumers to new beers and raise awareness of craft brewing in the local community and beyond.

New Year, New Schedule

New this year – the Friday night session will run an hour later from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm to allow more folks to head out after work and still attend the full evening.

Sipping craft beer by sunset, talk about the perfect date night or way to unwind with your peers!

2017’s festival will host booths for 66 breweries and 2 cideries, featuring over 250 beers and ciders. Also, new this year is The Drake Eatery Cask Tent, introducing 8 additional breweries serving unique cask beer.

A variety of local food vendors will return to offer West Coast and ethnic flavours.

You can also enjoy live entertainment featuring buskers, bands and more!

Tickets will be available for sale on July 22nd @ 9am.
