Colwood couple whose house burnt down collect donations for BC wildfire evacuees

Share

Looking for a way to help BC Wildfire evacuees? Head down to the legion today or the West Shore tomorrow and drop off donations!

Cora and Bryan Ringheim will be collecting donations until Friday. The couple have rented a U-Haul truck and plan to transport as much as they can to evacuees in the interior.

The Ringheims themselves were victims of a house fire in Saanich four years ago.

Now, they’re hoping to replicate the goodwill and support they received on a wider scale.

“We lost almost everything we owned and our community really rallied together to help us out as a family of six and this is our way of just having a little piece of pay it forward,” Cora Ringheim told CHEK News
