A section of Cadboro Bay Road was closed early Wednesday morning following a motorcycle crash which left the rider with serious injuries.
According to police, a motorcycle driver crashed into a lamp post at around 4:30 am. Someone came upon the crash on Cadboro Bay Road near Lauder Road and called 911.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman from the Greater Victoria area, remains in serious condition with significant injuries.
A traffic analysis was called in to determine what caused the crash.
Cadboro Bay Road was closed from Seacroft Place to Dawe Road for over four hours and re-opened around 9:00 am but the investigation is still underway.
Investigators are canvasing the neighborhood for potential witnesses and will examine road conditions.
