A traffic flagger suffered non-life threatening injuries after she was hit by a vehicle in a construction zone on Sooke Road and Luxton Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses told police that the flagger was attempting to stop a vehicle traveling in the eastbound lane when she was struck by small gray hatchback.
The impact of the collision sent both the vehicle and flagger into the ditch.
The flagger was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At 12:35 West Shore RCMP wrote that the closure would likely be in effect for 30-45 minutes. Vehicles are being rerouted through Happy Valley Road.
Sooke Rd is closed in both direction at Chan Pl due to a collision with flaggers. Road expected to be closed for at least 30-45 minutes.
