A large bear was spotted in the Hartland area of Saanich on Tuesday afternoon prompting a second warning from Saanich Police.
The bear was seen roaming in a backyard at around 4 p.m.
Saanich Police officers attended and determined the animal was not aggressive and seemed to be habituated to people.
A BC Conservation officer was advised.
On Sunday, a bear was spotted rummaging through garbage cans in the same general area and this is likely the same bear.
Police are reminding residents to make sure all garbage and recyclying bins are properly stored so there is less chance of another run in with wildlife.
