The City of Victoria confirmed a photo posted on Facebook of a hypodermic needle taped to the underside of a railing in the Yates Street parkade is real, according to CTV.
The incident occurred about three weeks ago and was brought to the public’s attention after a Victoria resident posted a warning on Facebook on Sunday.
The post has been shared over 3,000 times as of Monday.
The City of Victoria confirmed that the needle was found by a security guard and say they are working closely with the VicPD.
