UPDATE | Police have located a man reported missing after he sent out farewell messages to his family.
Joseph (Bill) Harvey, 64, was last seen at a bar near Oak Bay about 9:30pm on Monday.
Police were alerted and initiated a search when he failed to return home.
Police were able to locate Harvey and say he is safe and well.

Police in Oak Bay are concerned about the welfare of missing man Joseph (Bill) Harvey.
The 64-year-old was last seen at around 9:00 pm on Monday at the Oak Bay Marina.
Foul play is not suspected, but police are worried about his well-being.
Harvey’s family told Victoria Buzz they had received farewell messages from him last night.
“He has been missing for 12 hours and is a threat to himself. He was unable to be located all night. His last known location was at a bar by Oak Bay Marina with a laptop. He has sent farewells but I don’t think he is gone yet.”
The Canadian Coast Guard’s Joint Rescue Coordination Centre are aiding in the search for Harvey.
