According to the University of Victoria website, a cougar may have been spotted near the school earlier today.
Campus Security was notified of the cougar being seen last in the Finnerty Woods area, near University Drive, Gordon Head Road and Cedar Hill X Road.
While both Campus Security and Saanich Police have been alerted, for now it’s best to try and avoid travelling through trails in that area.
