BC Transit has announced that they will be providing free public transit during regular service hours on election day, May 9, 2017.
All you have to do is show the bus driver your voter registration card and you will be provided with a day pass.
This will make it easier for those who don’t have access to a vehicle or need another mode of transportation on the big day.
“Show your voter’s card as a ticket to ride on transit,” said Susan Brice, Chair of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission. “The Victoria Regional Transit Commission is proud to promote increased voter turnout and encourage ridership on BC Transit.”
