Police are investigating after a young boy was approached by an unknown man Monday afternoon in Saanich and was told: “you’re coming with me.”
The 11-year-old was walking home from school on the Swan Creek Park trail, near Marigold Road, when he was approached by the man at about 3:15pm.
The man walked up behind the boy, reached out, tapped him on the shoulder and said: “You’re coming with me.” The boy turned around, saw the man and then ran away.
Once the boy was at home Saanich Police were contacted.
The man is described as being white, in his 20s, with a red goatee. He was wearing jeans, black shoes, and a black pullover hoodie with a kangaroo style pocket on the front.
