First wave of vendors released for the Victoria Cheese and Meat Festival

Organizers of the  Cheese and Meat Festival has released the first of three vendor announcements.

The festival showcases cheese, charcuterie, and accompaniments while pairing them with wine, beer, cider, and spirits.

This year attendees can continue to expect a big bang for their buck and their taste buds. The festival will have a wider variety of beverages to sip and will be hosted in a new larger venue.

Let’s get to the first release – tickets are already flying! Drumroll, please!

The Glenlivet – This fantastic Scotch whiskey is a new and very exciting addition to the Festival. You can expect to try unique blends of whiskey and learn more about how to pair them with cheese and meat.

Vancouver Island Salt Co. – Get ready to sample your way through locally hand-harvested and award winning salts.

Caffé Umbria – Craving a pick me up while sampling at the Festival? We have your espresso needs covered with Caffé Umbria.

West Coast Smoking Oysters – A favourite every year, West Coast is back and ready to spoil you with delicious smoked oysters.

Blue Grouse Estate Winery – Offers world renowned wine from the Cowichan Valley to pair with your cheese.

Lighthouse Brewing Company – A local brewery that will wet your beaks with fantastic brews.

Picnic Charcuterie – Cured meats made with local and seasonal ingredients, crafted in Tofino.

Pizza Prima Strada – We bet you didn’t know that Prima Strada creates all their own charcuterie! They will be sampling the best of their meats.

Bon Macaron Patisserie– All the flavours you can think of, and then some – offering macarons to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Spanish Gold Olive Oil – Olive oil so good you will want to drink it. Trust us.

Sea Cider – Locally grown and produced, offering sips of ciders from crisp to sweet.

Upper Bench Creamery – Showcasing farm to table cheeses represented by BC’s best.

She Devil Delights – Offering relishes for all taste buds to pair with even the most eclectic charcuterie board – sweet, sassy, & a lil bad-assy.

McLean Meats – Natural, humane, and sustainable farming practices make their cured meats especially easy to swallow.

Choux Choux Charcuterie – Offering an assortment of traditional European cheeses, cured meats, and spread to delight your palate.

The Festival has a reputation for selling out; so make sure you buy your tickets in advance if you want to ensure your entry. The second wave of vendors will be released in April.
