Police investigate second sexual assault at a downtown Victoria bus stop

Share

Victoria police are looking for witnesses and a suspect in a second bus stop sexual assault.

Police say it is too early to link this incident with the first bus stop sexual assault on Douglas Street on Wednesday, but are asking people to be vigilant while at bus stops in the downtown area.

A woman attended VicPD on Saturday to report a sexual assault that occurred on February 9th at 10:00 p.m. while at a bus stop in the 1700-block of Douglas Street, just a few blocks from the first incident reported.

The victim told police an unknown man approached her at a bus stop and sat next to her.

The two began a conversation and then just before the bus arriving, the man sexually assaulted the victim.  She did not require any medical attention.

A newer clean white truck was observed in the area, and police believe the occupants might have seen the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, between twenty-five and thirty-five years of age standing approximately 6 feet tall. The suspect was wearing dark hoody pulled over his head exposing only his face.

He had a big nose with a dark mole or mark on the right side of his face and had no facial hair.
