The Cascadia Cup will be in Victoria for fan photos and some serious gazing

With the Major League Soccer (MLS) season set to commence next week, the SouthIslanders Whitecaps Supporters group has their season launch party ready to rock.

Graciously hosted by the Yates Street Taphouse, fans are invited to join the squad on March 11th for a 7 p.m. kickoff against the San Jose Earthquakes.

They’ve even upped the ante: the Cascadia Cup will be at the Taphouse in all its splendor, available for fan photos and some serious gazing.

The Cascadia Cup represents the ultimate demonstration in fan support: it was created together by Whitecaps, Seattle Sounders, and Portland Timbers support groups as a competition amongst Northwestern soccer teams. It began in 2004, has endured all three teams shifting leagues as the MLS came to prominence, and even has a trademark dispute to its name.

The Whitecaps are the current Cascadia Cup Champions, and will need your support to help bring the silverware back home to its passionate fanbase!

The party starts at 6 pm, kick-off is at 7, and the fun ends somewhere between 10 and 3, depending on your preference. March 11th – save the date!
