This Sunday, December 4th, three Vancouver Island Brown’s Socialhouse locations will again participate in their annual Christmas PJ drive.

It’s part of the Christmas Pyjama Drive that goes back six years and has collected over 17,500 pairs already.

If you have ever received a new pair of Christmas pyjamas as a child you know how great it feels to snuggle in for the night and wait for Santa in your new pj’s.

Many needy children have never experienced this.

“Upon explaining this to my son Reese, 6-years-old at the time, he suggested we purchase pyjamas to donate, and thus began the Christmas Pyjama Drive. This is our sixth year running the drive and we have collected over 17,500 pairs,” Reese’s mom, Erin Shelly told Victoria Buzz. “This year the need is greater than ever and Reese has set his goal high and with your help, we can tuck more children into cozy jammies for a long winter’s night.”

Here is how you can help:

  1. Purchase new PJ’s between the sizes of newborn to 16 years
  2. Drop them off the off at a participating Browns Socialhouse Restaurants
    – Langford – 783 Goldstream Ave
    – Victoria – 809 Douglas Street
    Nanaimo – 6338 Metral Drive
  3. Or better yet, attend the Pyjama Day at BROWNS Socialhouse all day long on Sunday, December 4th and receive 50% off your food bill when you bring in PJ’s.

Staff will be wearing PJs too, to get into the giving spirit.

Donations here in Victoria go to the Pacific Centre Family Services & the Burnside Gorge Community Association.
