25th Annual Festival of Trees

  • What: Beautifully decorated trees by sponsors, local businesses, organizations and individuals. View all 65 trees on display and vote for your favourite. All funds raised to support the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
  • When: daily until January 5, 2017
  • Where: The Bay Centre and Fairmont Empress

All Sooke Arts and Crafts Christmas Fair

  • What: 40th annual craft sale with over 85 vendors. Located on two floors, wheelchair accessible. Santa will be visiting the fair.
  • When: 1:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Where: Sooke Community Hall, 2037 Shields Road
  • Admission: Free

Rock Bay Square Arts and Industry Open House

  • What: Explore artist studios, workshops and the working spaces of local manufactures. Shop for coffee, furniture, golf clubs, artwork, leatherwork, jewellery and more. Door prizes.
  • When: 4:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Where: Rock Bay Square, 2614 Bridge Street
  • Admission: Free

Comedy Night for Critters

  • What: Comedian Dino Archie will be on stage for a night of laughs. Show begins at 8:00pm. 50/50 tickets, proceeds to benefit the Broken Promise Rescue and Rehabilitation.
  • When: 6:00pm to 11:00pm
  • Where: Hecklers Bar & Grill, 123 Gorge Road East
  • Admission: $15, available at Hecklers.

Community Fiddle Dance with Daniel Lapp

  • What: Come, kick up yer boot heels to Victoria’s newest Old-Time Dance Band from the BC Fiddle Orchestra lead by the Victoria Fiddle Society President, Daniel Lapp.  Canadian old-time dances such as the polka, schottische, waltz, butterfly and heel ’n toe will be taught on the spot – it’s fun for all ages!  So polish your shoes or boots and come READY to DANCE!
  • When: Doors: 7:00 pm;  Dance: 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Where: St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 1379 Esquimalt Road
