FRIDAY August 12

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival

  • What: Awakening the Dragon will begin at 1:00pm. This ceremony is conducted to cleanse the area of competition, to bless the competitors and their boatsank to charge the boats and their crews with the Spirit of the Dragon and the Goddess of the Sea.
  • Where: Victoria Inner Harbour

Beach Food Fridays

  • What: Take to the beach and enjoy the sun and delicious food from these local food trucks from11:00am-7:00pm. Floyd’s Diner, Grilled to the Mac, Jackson’s Ice Cream, L’Athentique Poutine & Burger and the Crispy Fish (arrives at 3:00pm)
  • Where: Esquimalt Lagoon, Ocean Boulevard

Western Star Daffodil Cup Weekend

  • What: Race for the coveted Daffodil Cup trophy. Featuring NSRA winged sprint cars, Richlock Rentals sprint cars, Old Timers Racing Association and dwarf cars. Following the races popular country band Montgomery County will perform live. Grandstands open 4:30pm.
  • Where: Western Speedway

TICKETS: $25/adult, $22.50/senior and youth, $14/military and kids (age 7-12), $70/family pass (2 adults, 4 kids)

India Mela

  • What: A weekend celebration of dance, music, arts, fashion and more from various cultures, indian traditions and heritage.Vendors selling dian jewellery, apparel and accessories. Bouncy castle, water games, henna and more activities. Event from 4:00-7:30pm
  • Where: Centennial Square

Free-B Film Festivals

  • What: Free outdoor screening, bring a chair, blanket, flashlight and snacks. Gremlins (rating:PG) will begin playing at 9:00pm. Catch Gizmo and the other mogwais as they terrorize and take over Kingston Falls.

SATURDAY August 13

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival

  • What: Check out the exciting dragon boat races as the teams race 470m from Laurel Point towards the Inner Harbour. Paddlers’ Air Band Competition will begin at 6:30 with teams putting on a elaborate, entertaining performance. Lights of Courage will begin at 9:00pm. Illuminate the laterns and spread hope to honour those affected by cancer. All proceeds from the purchase of latern bags will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation. Food vendors, beer gardens and merchandise on site. Festival from 8:00am-10:00pm.
  • Where: Victoria Inner Harbour

Pet-A-Poolza

  • What: Largest pet festival on the West Coast and most fun you will have with your dog all summer. Over 85 pet related exhibitors, bull dog races, fly ball shoes, agility demos, cool down stations, photo lounges and so much more. Event to benefit the Just Love Animals Society. Bring your dog to this fun animal event from 10:00am-4:00pm.
  • Where: Ogden Point, 199 Dallas Road

Victoria’s Largest Little Airshow

  • What: Join Santa Bear and the crew from Santas Anonymous at Michell R/C Airpark for a day of fun. Children’s activities, 50/50 raffle, concession on site and free parking. Admission by donation and proceeds to benefit Santas Anonymous. Event from 10:00am-4:30pm.
  • Where: Michell Airpark

Beach Food Saturdays

  • What: Weekend fun at the beach for the whole family, treat yourself to lunch from one of the local food trucks on site from 11:00am-7:00am. Floyd’s Diner, Pepperman’s Grill, Grilled to the Mac, Greek on the Street and L’Authentique Poutine & Burgers.

8th Annual First Nations, Inuit and Metis Art Show

  • What: The diversity of art expressions include carvings, weaving, prints, fabric art, drums, pottery, beading, leather work, painting, and more. Art show open from 10:00am-4:00pm.
  • Where: Mary Winspear Centre, 2243 Beacon Avenue

Pop Up Saturdays

  • What: Showcasing local talent from up and coming performers to seasoned musicians. Karly Summer performing from 1:00-3:00pm, followed by Zoubi from 3:00-5:00pm.
  • Where: Market Square

SUNDAY August 14

Coast Capital Insurance Auto Extravaganza Classic and Special Intrest Car Show

  • What: Presented by Torque Masters Car Club, with over 350 classic and special intrest cars, trucks and bikes. Enjoy pancake breakfast from Sidney Lions. There will be door prizes, 50/50 draws to benefit Cops for Cancer, manufactured midway, ride the glide, goodie bags and so much more.  Event from 8:00am-3:00pm.
