Victoria Buzz has received several messages from readers in the past 24 hrs, alerting us of a phishing scam making the rounds in Victoria.
People have been receive texts that appear to come from Coast Capital Savings, either telling them their account has been suspended or showing a link to their account.
Coast Capital Savings is reminding people to NOT click on the link or enter their personal information:
“These emails and texts are fraudulent and not from Coast Capital Savings. It is important to note that Coast Capital Savings would never email or text members asking for their confidential banking or personal information.”
“We remind folks to not click on any clicks or provide any personal information or banking information. If you need any help or have concerns, please call us 1-888-517-7000.”
